I really miss our apricot tree...and all the homemade jam. Today we decided to go to a local orchard (can you believe it, an orchard in the desert!) to pick some apricots. It was pretty fun and it helped fulfill the "one hour outside" requirement the kids have for summer. Any more than one hour when it's 103 degrees is just cruel...unless you're in a pool of course. It made me miss our tree even more because the fruit isn't quite ready yet, but if you don't pick it now, they'll be all gone!
