We've got a pretty new camera that we're still getting used to. These are a couple of pictures we took with the fireworks setting. I think it works pretty good. Would have been even better if we had our tripod.

Wacky Wednesday

This made me laugh...I guess we must be rednecks because I did this for my boys when they were little. Who doesn't love an octapus hot dog when you're 3 years old?

Here's the latest in Jeff's collection of posters. School's out for summer...I just hope that all the video games and TV haven't reduced my kids' brains to this yet.

Summer Scouting Begins!

Jeff took his scouts to his office. Actually they visited the cranes in the yard. I think the boys had fun seeing how big some of those cranes really are up close. The picture in the middle is from Jonah's last pack meeting. He taught the boys and parents how to fold an oragami cube. He did a great job.

More recital pics anyone?

Ok, I know everyone is probably getting tired of Anissa's recital by now, but here are some really cute pictures in her costume, even if I do say so myself! The pictures they took at the dance studio didn't really turn out because she didn't feel well that day and you could really see it in her eyes. So after dress rehearsal I took her over to Target and had these done. They did a great job (even better than the "pros" who took the studio shots). I'm still trying to figure out how to upload a video clip of her dance and when I do, I promise that'll be the end of the recital blogging!

Wacky Wednesday

Ok, Jeff started the blog and did the first few posts, but I've taken over, so I'm changing the name to "Wacky Wednesday" because the pictures aren't really inspirational or motivational. They're actually ironic and besides Wacky Wednesday is an alliteration. Since I've been posting, I've found some really great websites that help you do really cool things with your pictures, so here's today's.

The night before Anissa's ballet recital, she smacked her forhead on my dresser. Jake and I were downstairs watching a movie when we hear this big crash and then a scream. Apparently, she was swinging on my bed's footboard and slipped. I ran up and when I saw what happened I almost laughed. I know that sounds bad, let me explain. On the night before my own recital when I was about her age, I had a mishap that lead to me wearing a band-aid on my nose for my recital. I still have that scar today. I guess its a sign...we are not meant to be ballerinas.

Beautiful Ballerinas

Bryn and Anissa...these two have been great friends since they were born, really. Two years of preschool and kindergarten together, regular play dates at each other's houses, and now dance. This is at the dress rehearsal for their recital which is tomorrow. Unfortunately for Anissa, Bryn is moving to Utah. She's sure gonna miss her!
